Setting up your POP3 E-Mail account using MS Outlook Express.

These steps will show you how to setup your e-mail addresses provided by UpTask Internet Services (previously by UpTask Internet Services) in MS Outlook Express.

Step 1

  • Run Outlook Express
  • Click on "Tools" then "Accounts..."



    Step 2

  • Click "Add" then "Mail..."



    Step 3

  • Type your full name in the Display name box. Click "Next".



    Step 4

  • Type your complete e-mail address in the E-mail address box. Click Next.



    Step 5

  • Make sure that POP3 is selected as the server type.
  • Type "pop.secureserver.net" in the Incoming mail server box.
  • Type "smtpout.secureserver.net" in the Outgoing mail server box. Click Next.



    Step 6

  • Type your complete e-mail address in the Account name box.
  • Type your password in the password box. Click Next.



    Step 7

  • You will get a "Congratulations" message. Click "Finish".



    Step 8

  • You will be returned to the account list.
  • Click the "Mail" tab up top.
  • Highlight "pop.secureserver.net"
  • Click the "Properties" button.



    Step 9

  • Click the "Servers" tab
  • At the bottom under "Outgoing Mail Server" check the box titled "My server requires authentication".



    Step 10

  • Click the Advanced tab.
  • In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) field, change the port number to 80, and then click OK.



    Step 11

  • You will be returned to the Account list.
  • Click "Close"
  • You are done!
